Was John Erwin the most extremely intensely reclusive person that was well known for specific character or role, occupation? or were there others that were similiar or the same?

I'm fully aware that John Erwin, the iconic voice of He-Man from that classic cartoon of the 1980s, passed away last year, however, it is well known in the Masters of the Universe fandom, community, that John Erwin was without question, a very extremely intensely reclusive person, or just a hardcore super private man who completely kept himself out of the public eye, public sphere, he was notorious for never doing appearances and to my knowledge, he never did interviews either, never did audio commentaries as well, very few photos exist of him as well.

He lived a live as if he was like trying to always keep himself invisible, trying to hide from everyone.

I remember it was stated by his colleagues, that a huge key reason why he always maintained a low profile, avoided the public, was because he didn't want to break the "illusion" of the character He-Man, he didn't want to let fans down as seeing the voice in person as not what was imagined in their minds and imagination.

Don't get me wrong, people who live a life like that, thats their right, they owe us nothing, they are under no obligation to do appearances, etc.

But is there anyone else you can think of that was known for a particular role or occupation that had an impact on pop-culture, but at the same time, they avoided the public and never did appearances, interviews, were very extremely reclusive and private?

@coroditelover217 The only person that comes to my mind is Daniel Day-Lewis. He is the most gifted actor that I have ever had the pleasure of watching but he is an absolute recluse. His public appearances are extremely rare because people make him uncomfortable. He prefers extreme isolation.

J.D. Salinger, author of Catcher in the Rye, was extremely private. None of his books have been made into movies.

I did write John a letter once years back about how much he meant to my kids and I and he actually responded.

just realized, another person who was notorious for never doing appearances or interviews either, was the late comic book artist Steve Ditko, co-creater of Spider-Man and Dr. Strange, its debateable as to who was the more intensely reclusive.

Also, the book author Thomas Pynchon as well.
