AJ you are correct in calling buyers "caretakers" instead of owners. These are historic pieces of art that need to be preserved properly. The winning bidders will be custodians that better take it upon themselves to train in all the ways to properly display or store priceless art.

What do the American laws say about buying this art then scanning it and selling high resolution posters to the community? Is it prohibited?
