So I while back, I started a topic that quickly ended. It was about unseen to the public lost MOTU show pilots. It ended when I brought up the possibility of the original Filmation toon having a lost pilot inbetween the first aired episode and that original animated toy commercial, but some of y'all immediately shut that down by telling me OG He-Man was a syndicated cartoon and those never got pilots.

Despite this, some of y'all may be aware that lost media has been becoming a bigger topic in recent years. Stuff like lost show pilots, lost anime dubs, early builds of video games or even builds of cancelled video games of as much as the developers made, recordings of stage shows based on big franchises, even somethings insignificant as lost commercials, mostly stuff from the 80s and 90s, are being found by searchers in the community every month and it's a big deal when something really sought after for a while is finally found.

As a newer member of the community (since April or May), I just wanna ask, is there any notable MOTU lost media that at least the portion of the fandom is aware of or really any known MOTU lost media at all of any kind?

Masters of the Universe and Princess of Power are fairly well-documented. The only lost media of which I can think is the extended "Good Journey" scene from the live action film. It was screened once for test audiences, but was cut at the request of the studio. The director does not have a copy of it, and the studio went out of business. If the current rights holder has the footage, it does not know it, and could not begin to locate it. The only way it is turning up is if Anne Coates kept the footage and her estate now has it; or if Warner Bros. has it in a vault of assets it inherited from Cannon Group.

I think I know one piece of somewhat lost media that isn’t in a sense really lost but at the same I think a lot of us would want.

a clean ripped version of the “I have the power” song from Secret of the Sword.

I think there are lost scenes from the first Filmation commercial. Beast Man and Mer-Man were both in it. I saw the animation cells but I think they were cut out for time.

@samuel They weren't completely cut. You can see both of them from behind in the commercial.

@longtooth you're right. I mispoke. You can see them from behind in the commercial but there was more Beast Man and Mer-Man parts cut out. You can find cels of it on ebay once in a while.

@slycooperastroboy51 I only have 2 pics saved.

Interesting. It makes sense, with the incarnations of the series over the years, things would get "lost in the shuffle."
