So knowing these are forums about pop culture, 80s pop culture mostly, I think this would be a great opportunity to shed some light on an obscure 80s kids show most of you have never heard about. One with a big cult following online. Made by the crew of the early seasons of a way more iconic British children's show that needs no introduction, but it only lasted a whopping 13 episodes in 1989 and mainly only airing in the UK and Japan because of it's budget and struggle to sell to American investors because it's image and tone imbalance.

and I say kid's show because it isn't really a cartoon. I mean it is from Britain, there they didn't just limit themselves to hand drawn animation. An extremely unique style that has only ever saw success for years with it's aformentioned sister show about cool trains.

On the surface, it looks very approachable to young kids, but then you watch the episodes and they have very perilous storylines, mentions of death and sinking, one character who feels unlucky wanting to "sink himself" and it's played off for laughs, blackmailing, mafia-like dealings, one character dying (sort of?) on screen, EXPLOSIONS

oh and did I mentioned it stars talking boats?

This is Tugs.

"Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors" and "Inhumaniods" were pretty obscure.
