just saw the trailer on a crowded city commute and couldn't keep myself contained~! πΒ
it looks awesome, unapologetic too - it's not afraid to be a lil corny and lean into the weird and wonderful, more fantastical aspects of superman.
i LOVED that shot of supes shielding the girl from the bullets, most recent superhero movies focus on big "save the world/save the multiverse" storylines but some of my favorite superhero stories focus on the heroes touching individual lives.
plus david is as good as clark as he is superman, clark's clumsily rush to the daily planet building and his lil awkward smile to lois lane is pure clark. πΒ

Hate to say this but it doesnβt look good at all. I donβt like the actor that plays lex buts thatβs more of a personal thing. Iβm also not getting a Superman vibe from the actor that plays him. Iβm still gonna see it and hope Iβm wrong
I will probably like it more thanΒ Man of Steel,Β but that does not mean I think it will be good per se. I am cautiously optimistic.
A bit conflicted about a blonde Guy Gardener; but he did conveyed the punchable face attitude from the comic books in the split second we saw him quite well already πΒ
It did got some late 90s Justice League vibes; back when they bickered so much among themselves (more often than not because Gardener) that it looked like dumb luck when they saved the world.
I am excited for this movie and I am delighted Hawkgirl is in it too. πΒ

The recasting and complete disregard for everything prior to the new "Gunn-verse" is very deliberate. DC Studios is distancing itself from the past.
I have high hopes for this movie... however, I've been burned pretty badly in the past (Superman Returns and Batman v. Superman - I'm lookin' at you).
After watching the trailer a couple of times, I'm worried that this movie will be too overstuffed and try to fit in too much narrative. It's got Lois Lane, Guy Gardner, Hawkgirl, Mr. Terrific, Aliens, 3rd World Conflict, and Lex Luthor all just in the preview... that's a lot to take in.
Regardless... it's got Krypto! This fact alone will put me in a seat at the theater.

@ornclown hey now Superman returns was very underrated π. Personally, I loved it.
True... it was more in line with the Richard Donner films (which is a good thing.) And, I like Brandon Routh as Supes... I just wish that it had a little more substance.
