Hopefully doing modelling or animation for a game or film studio. I'm still exploring my options. Especially since there are no real animation jobs (or even an animation community, for that matter) where I live.

Awesome. Good luck!

Luckily this day and age, while there probably would still be some traveling involved, I hear many jobs in your field do not require you to live and report to a dedicated office but rather allow you to work virtually.

Thanks. That's what I'm hoping for.

@wundar If you can get everything organized, and it all set up and if it works, sign me up to find a way to play it. I've been wanting a MOTU RPG game for years! I was doing a little Dinsey Infinity Inspired Description and Special Ability description yesterday. The "Starter Pack" characters would've been He-Man, Teela, and Man-At-Arms. Usually, as far as the Masters go, they're easily some of the most recognizable.

@costume-n00b @deltavax Appreciated, The engine design documentation is slowly coming along. I am ordering some RFID stripes and a small usb RFID reader for testing.

@wundar This might be a little soon to ask, but would you do expansions such as The Great Rebellion, the Snake Men, the Horde and Grayskull's Heroic Warriors. Whether campaigns and or bonus characters?

You To play as many characters as possible? For me that’s easy. If would be similar to Marvel’s Ultimate Alliance. I have 3 brothers and we all played the hell out of that game. You would have to beat it twice, once as a hero and once as a villain

I'd like a classic side scrolling hack and slash game, along the lines of Golden Axe and the Konami Ninja Turtles series.

I think a good "beat 'em up" game would work. Skeletor, Hordak and King Hiss hatch a plan to put something in the atmosphere that makes He-Man slightly more vulnerable to physical attacks. He-Man and She-Ra as player 2 have to fight their was through different parts of Eternia that are over run with baddies. At the end of each stage you'll face one of the major villains (Beastman, Catra, Rattlor). Finally at Snake Mountain you'd face a boss rush fighting Skeletor, King Hiss and Hordak.

Unlockible characters could be Wun-Dar, He-Skeletor and King Grayskull.

Something like the Lego games (e.g. Star Wars, Harry Potter) would work best for me: play through a story, unlocking new characters and abilities as you go, and with enough collectibles in each level to make it worth re-playing them with different characters so you can find everything. I really enjoy the sense of humour in the Lego games too.

@costume-n00b Yes, but I don't own a PC, so I can't play that.  I want an official game for consoles.  Along the lines of TMNT: Shredders Revenge, or the upcoming Toxic Crusaders beat 'em up.  That fan made game does look fantastic, though.

@rocketpunch same here. Mattel has the resources to actually hire Tribute Games (the guys who made Shredder's Revenge).

Hey, whatever happened to that cool side-scrolling He-Man/She-Ra game? I think I tried to play it online once or twice, but I really wanted to download it and give it my full attention.

It had the Filmation designs and everything...was that fan-made?

Its almost a crime we had no big MMO for MOTU (or maybe a bethesda style massive and moddable open world game). You create you custom character and interact in the ever expanding MotU Universe; be it exploring/questing; be it PvP fighting the other factions; be it crafting all kind of things. Everthing MMO designers bend their mind about how this and that could work in setting YXZ is already naturally baked into MotU. Everything is already made for them for picking up and making a big open world to explore. They only need to make sure its made by ppl that know how to restrain themselves when it comes to "new creative takes on established stuff" and prefer to do the IP justice.

2) A fighter. Possibly along the lines of MvC or KoF. Or even Smash Bros. It can be done.

With a lot of patience Soul Calibur 6 can scratch that itch a little bit. A collage of sorts I did some time ago. I improved some designs by now of some charactes but I think it still gets the point across. Enjoy:

🙂
