It is new comic book day! And today, the Masters of the Universe: Revelation & Revolution continuity continues with “Masters of the Universe: Andra”! With writing by Tiffany Smith and art by Adriana Melo (and three widely circilated covers to choose from), this 56 page one-shot comic promises to deliver fans a brand new story that will delve into the backstory of the new Man-At-Arms... We have the Power!
The island where her granddad had retreated in his old age... I can safely presume where the script is going, but we'll see. By the way, the variant cover should have been chosen as the main and only one, period (lol)!
I still need to get this, need to find the best way online to get that sweet sweet Nate Baertsch cover as physical copy! A published MOTU book starring someone else than He-Man or Skeletor or She-Ra?!? This is unheard of and I need it!
So I read Andra. It was only okay to me but I can't figure out if it is the writing or the character of Andra isn't that interesting on her own. Which is it?
I think it was okay, but you also get it, it was hanging barely on my interest. They can always make it more interesting, including the character.
I give it a 6.5/10. It was okay, not totally memorable.
It had a vibe of a common 200X or Filmation episode, which is good.
I guess we are all getting more adults and becoming more demanding on script quality, but you'll like it if you read it.
