Sounds about right.
A lil baby with a Panthor head or a Panthor cub? I’m honestly cool with either😂
Two figures will be wearing Earth clothing and one of those figures will be Skeletor with a baby Panthor accessory.
Any pics by chance?
Skeletor in Earth clothing with baby Panthor? @admin can you confirm this?
I unfortunately do not have any additional information on these figures. Perhaps (if accurate) this is the "Feature Skeletor" figure on the First Ones side?
We have the Power!
@he-dad The problem is Mattel wants to announce it themselves and some dopes over at the org tattletaled.
I didn’t even know that the Org relaunched. Seems kind of pointless now. I like it here more. I can’t even find a place to login and discuss anything over there.
New toylines are always exciting. Hopefully it’s not done at the expense of MV and Origins for those of you who collect those lines. I’m not sure how well movie renditions will sell for these figures. The leaks about Teela’s clothing from the movie set don’t look great, but maybe that’s just her Earth look?
@smokinya It's an Eternia look. I don't think there is logic to an Earth look for Teela unless she is trying to blend in. Then she would wear simple clothing like a pair of jeans and a shirt. I do hope to see Teela in different outfits instead of one outfit for the entire movie.
Regarding the new org, to me it is the org in name only. It's trying to be this site and the org both and accomplishes neither. The ads are also annoying.

Off topic, who is in charge over at the .Org now?
Val still owns it I believe but Battle Ram Blog and others are running it. Same owner, new manager basically.
I second the ads though. They essentially hijack your browser. I was main patreon supporters but the way they handled the news and feedback over this topic and the like I just spoke with my wallet and canceled my support.

Val still owns the org name and makes money off it. Adam from Battle Ram Blog is running it.

Got it. Thanks!
I'm glad the information is still available, but I lament the current state of the .org as a pale shadow of its past iteration...
With that said, Adam is doing god's work with the Battle Ram Blog! Awesome stuff!

Based on the designs shown in today's teaser, I can confidently say that I'm absolutely OUT on the upcoming movie figures. Give me more CC Origins, Mattel.
Idris Elbow as Duncan, come on huh...
Absolutely in for all the toys based on today's trailer! 😆
Excited to see what we're getting if Mattel does unveil them next week.

I'll buy the two leads like I always do (I've got a sickness as Mad Hatter Reviews says), but I think that's all. Be interesting if they put them in Origins!
Thus far (in accordance with my plan), Goat Man remains the sole entity retained on my shopping list.
if the movie figures will look the same as in trailer, we do not need to worry for the future of Masterverse/New Eternia/Etheria...

Eh, there's loads of factors at play there. They could be absolutely great figure designs but the movie needs to be a sizeable hit for what it cost otherwise the merch goes to deep clearance in a couple of months. Stores do not like that and don't really differentiate. They already don't go big on MOTU so this NEEDS to be a hit in their terms.
Then you've got Mattel who have never been able to gauge their own market demand since the 1980s, so... like look at how difficult individual figures are to get while we're on our 7th Duncan. There's a lot of moving parts is what I'm saying.

🤣 I call it a hobby.... my wife calls it a sickness.

I would certainly buy figures based on the movie... especially because the costume / character designs look like they respect the original source designs (minus all the bare legs...), and I LOVE this version of Cringer!
However, I'm curious if Mattel will use unique sculpts for the majority of the line, or create a standard male / female buck and go from there... OR just reuse the bucks they've already got.

I wonder how the kiddo line looks and fairs and how much they'll do. I mean we'd have to get a Roton and Talon Fighter for them right? And I really hope there's a good kids role play Power Sword and harness with a Havoc Staff too that lights up. My kids would love that...or at least I will. 😆
Also we'd have to get a new movie sculpt Castle Grayskull right?! That seems like the cornerstone to that entire line and it does look different enough to warrant a new sculpt. No idea on the interior though aside from a space for the sword chamber. lol
The adult collector side I assume is just their movie version of Masterverse with 3D sculpts of the actors? A deluxe Beastman and Roboto would likely be the big ones but yeah a new Battle Cat/Cringer would look awesome too. Overall I'm just really excited to see what we get and the potential damage to my wallet. 🤣

I retouched the Hand closer to the figures and it *seems* like it’s MV size…

Look at the articulation and it's shape, there's no way that isn't the new Masterverse. And you can tell because the headsculpts look nothing like the inspiration lol.
A look at the full PACKAGING for the New Masters of the Universe "Chronicles" Movie Action Figure line.
We have the Power!
The figures look good...
I have to reserve judgment until I get them in-hand, and I'm not sold on the hip / thigh articulation, but overall I like what I see so far.
*Cough* With the exception of Evil-Lyn, however... she is looking ROUGH. (Poor Alison Brie...)
>>>The Power of the Good and the Way of the Magic!<<<
Like I said in the Masterverse thread, it could possibly be that these are prototypes… let’s hope for Alison Brie’s sake. But I don’t find it that terrible tbh.
Regarding the thigh / hip area, we have to be aware that these figures have no loin cloths, something that covered much of this area with previous figures.
Not sure if these are any different from previous MV, or if they look weird / different just because lack of loin cloths.
Travis Knight screwed us by not using loin cloths in the movie costumes lol.
Re: MV vs Chronicles, we’ll have to see how the naming / packaging continues… It’s possible that only the name and packaging changes, but the principle continues: movie figures plus other sublines interspersed, under the umbrella of “Chronicles”. Slightly updated buck, but same direction, just with the heavy presence of movie subline for now.
(just like Masterverse started exclusively with REV subline, using as a launchpad of the line, but then introduced other sublines).
It is completely possible both MV and Chronicles will run alongside each other, or MV will become the Vintage Collection only.
For what its worth Ramen Toys, who were at the panel, said the figures were scaled slightly smaller than Masterverse.
I think the Evil Lyn figure would of greatly benefited with a more expressive face sculpt than the neutral one. 😆
