I got a shipping notice for my Skele-Shredder, it's only in "label created" status, but it's something.

Paramount and Mattel announce multi-year global partnership to produce TMNT products https://toynewsi.com/241-61760

Does that mean more Turtles of Grayskull lol??

It does mean more Turtles from Mattel!

Not sure what that means for all the other licensees pumping out Turtles stuff…?

@cosmic I hope we do get more TOG, but also none Grayskull Turtles using the Origins body system.

As for what Super7 and those others do, I don't care.

I wouldn’t complain one bit about more ToG. Maybe they could pump out some more mutated Mer-Man figures to go with the 10 they already made.

I doubt this will affect the twenty million other companies that have their fingers in the turtle pie. Paramount likes money.

My pie in the sky dream would be TOG Warrior Turtles from the end of the original Playmates run. There was Evil Winged Leo and Donnie, Metalhead Mikey and I think two of three others.

With the TMNT license coming to Mattel in 2027, perhaps they'll resume this line?

Fingers crossed.

In all honesty, I'd love to see ToG figures in the Masterverse (or whatever) line. Barring that, regular TMNT in a similar line would be neat.

@chrisa it would be easy to make a Turtles line using the existing parts they already have.

The way they did the “WWE Superstars” Line After WWEternia, that would be fun, if they made a new full-on Turtles line but building on those Origins parts they already have from ToG… that would be fun.

(Been wanting to get a couple specific Superstars.)

A Turtles line compatible with ToG and Origins. The Origins buck worked very well for the Turtles, I thought. Mostly have to re-engineer how the shells attach, without needing the armor.

Fourteen minutes just to get the figure out of the package???

This was painful to watch...

(Maybe next time we'll be lucky enough to watch as he records himself waiting for microwave popcorn to pop... SMH.)

I wouldn't be surprised if Mattel revisits this collaboration in a completely new aesthetic and scale...

Also, be on the lookout for TMNT Hot Wheels, TMNT Uno sets, TMNT Magic 8-Ball, TMNT Little People, TMNT Barbie clothing, etc., etc.

@ornclown Seriously, most of these toytubers really need to cut it out with these needlessly long, boring videos. 10 to 20 minutes to unbox and review a figure? It's like watching paint dry, considering that most of them lack any semblance of charisma. Ain't nobody got time for that!

They do it, because videos need to be over 10 minutes for monetization.

A newly sculpted torso with shell attached would be ideal.

I'm surprised that Mattel didn't just go the extra mile and do this the first time around... they made a specific body with front shell, but decided to make the dorsal shell double as a shield? WTF?

@ornclown doing that allowed them to easily update the shells gor Reptile Wars. Continuing with removable shells would allow for more customization and for different characters to have different shells with the same body.

Think of an appropriate sized Slash or ToG versions of the Warrior Winged Turtles.

I suppose that was a choice... however, even though we are talking about man-sized, bi-pedal, talking turtles, the logical part of my brain just can't jive with "removable" shell shields.

I felt the same way as a kid with the TMNT "storage shell" figures....

Just because the toy has a feature doesn't mean it exists in universe.

@ornclown Ha, the storage shell Turtles, I was fascinated and had to have one. Loved that Raphael, even though I didn’t have any other Turtles really.

In universe or not, I just didn't like the execution... the shells are too small and flat, IMO.

Right??

They were actually some of the best looking TMNT figures sculpt-wise too!

It was nice having a place to store all those extra throwing stars and kunais, but my child brain always wondered where their 'organs' were, lol...
