@chrisa I don't think they would use prototypes or test samples for something like that.

@he-dad logistics. They have to pack and ship everything from Mattel HQ to toy shows all over the world. The product samples need to be at HQ for photography and other promotional stuff that's done in house. People in the toy business either don't care if the final product is different or they better understand that what they see it not the final product.

@he-dad oh. Lol. Now I’m back to not liking it. We’re getting alternating views of opaque vs translucent skin. The translucent is obviously way better. Fingers crossed. Maybe the translucent ones were just used in some promos and aren’t going to be sold. Would still love to get my hands on one somehow.

@he-dad it's really not, nearly every business that makes any kind of product does it. Kenner use to put a disclaimer on their packaging, "product and colors may vary" just incase they made changed between photography and final production.

@he-dad If we get the same thing as Mr. Home Arcade, then I love it. Seems like they tested out a few different materials, which I appreciate. They are really trying to make a quality product. Love how this video showed him outside and under a blacklight. I'm actually getting really jazzed about the mini comics. The stop-motion video did a good job of piquing my interest about the story without giving a lot away. This marketing team deserves an A+.
