Today we received our first *partial* look at the upcoming Masterverse Masters of the Universe “New Eternia ” Kobra Khan action figure in packaging. Listed on the e-commerce website eBay for a substantial markup, what really caught us by surprise is a reveal of a possible action feature. If you look closely at Kobra Khan's mouth, it reveals a hole! Could this hole be used to spread venomous poison, just like the vintage figure? Yeah I think that there will be a plastic “spray” effect piece.
But who knows! MV is going nuts w/ their designs lately!
@cosmic Personally, in terms of design, I would have opted for the gas effect attached to the collar as a nod to his revisit in the '80s cartoon; bearing in mind that there is currently no indication that Masterverse would be willing to add Filmation as a subline further down the line. It would be a win-win if they later decided to produce the Vintage Collection version, as the buccal spray would be an obvious addition in this context. I mean, they've already decided to mix him up with his Camo Khan claws, so a little more creativity wouldn't hurt at this point (lol).
Khan looks great. Seems like they're sticking with the frog-like, vintage design for Tung Lashor instead of going with the far superior 200x design

Finally getting a look at the back of the packaging for the upcoming Masterverse "New Eternia" KOBRA KHAN Figure, the hole in its mouth is not for an action feature (like the vintage toy) but rather to insert a plastic spray effect. 💥 Thanks to the awesome PrincesseValha1 for the 'heads up'!

@admin They put a lot of effort into this NE rendition. Mattel must have made very good sales with their Vintage Collection subline so far. Personally, I would have been very hesitant to spoil this one so much for fear of having a negative impact on the vintage reproduction further down the line. But again, I have no idea what their actual profits are.
This is going to be a VERY popular figure ... keep an eye on pre-orders, people.
