The cards for Lion-O (Gold) and Panthor-Man. Interesting that Panthor-Man made a deal with Skeletor and not Skell-Ra or Mumm-Ra.

It never felt like Mattel's heart was in this line. Not like Turtles of Grayskull.

I see that too, but it could also be an issue of how much money WB wanted to invest in this crossover. 

I could see Paramount having more money invested into TMNT than WB has in Thundercats.

What’s the deal with that new MOTU/Tcats figure on display in Germany. Guess the line isn’t dead???

But who is it in the picture?  People are saying Monkian, but it looks just like a human in some weird unfamiliar armors. 

Maybe a new wave coming soon?  I’d love a Snarf in Orko robes and a Jaga with Sorceress/Zoar armor/cape.

Yup... sadly a fake. This new figure is the only one missing a display stand.

I really do find it incredible that they put out Thundercats and Transformers crossovers for a couple of waves each then they're seemingly dead. They don't seem to understand what that does to trust and purchasing behaviour.

Why go through the trouble (and cost) of acquiring the use of another IP if you're only going to putter out even before you get started?!? WTF Mattel??

ThunderCats is chock-full of incredible enemy and hero designs... some of them rivaling many of MOTU's. How could Mattel NOT include even one of them beyond the base cast (who are still missing Snarf BTW)???

I feel like Transformers was always intended to be just four figures from Mattel and the one or two from Hasbro, because it two toy companies working together. And there weren't any indications of other characters being involved. 

But Thundercats has shown us other characters and there's license wasn't issued by another toy company... but it has been issued to other toy companies...

There's not enough planning time for that. I think it was someone from Hasbro that used the term "capsule" in reference to the crossover figures, meaning a short sub line with a theme. It's a term Hasbro has used a lot but Mattle hasn't. I guess Mattel really does like to keep us in the dark.

I think Mattel just took on too much too soon... there was no reason to have both the ThunderCats and Transformers crossover waves going at the same time. They should have dedicated the time, money, and resources to one at a time... 😡  

With what we know now... the Hasbro/Transformers deal existed anyway, but maybe they buttered up Warner Bros and Paramount with Thundercats and TMNT.

@ornclown agreed, although they may have been given a limited amount of time and a window of allowed use. With only Paramount granting more time.

I got my purple Battle Cat-Man *ahem* I mean, Panthor-Man today! 🙂

Kidding aside, he is a really great figure. I like the classic coloring and the unique logo on his chest harness... I just wish he came with a unique weapon as well.

I wish they had done two things differently with Panthor-Man. 

1) released him earlier so he could have been in the mini comics 

2) used Mumm-Ra's two headed snake logo on his harness.
