@cosmic I was thinking that they look very 200X also. But there are those differences on Trap Jaw and Tri-Klops, but then Beastman is just wearing Jackalman's clothes.

I'm curious to see how far they're going to take this concept. Will they even bother producing a few mutants further down the line? It's intriguing.

After seeing the wave two mini comic I'm not sure what we'll see. Wave three looks like an after thought and not a good one, not when they could have made Mumm-Ra as Red Lion-O and Bengali to go with Panthor-Man. Sexy Pumyra could be made from Cheetara with a few new parts. It's odd because ToG had a one year plan then got two extra wave, while it looks like ThunderCats only had two wave planed and the third was in a bonus, but not a good bonus, like the $1,000 I got last year, more like a jam of the month club membership.

@smitty-81 I do think Panthor Man was planned, but the others are like… filler. Does not give me much confidence that this will continue with new characters. Would be nice to see some mutants though they’re probably less marketable than the ‘Cats.

I think anyone who knows Thundercats remembers at least one of the Mutants. Also, if we go by the artwork they were only planning Third Eternia versions of Skeletor's crew, witch makes sense with the story in the mini comics.

There was a Snarf-O in the comic book mini series. I dont recall if he was mentioned or if he actually showed up. 

The lack of any mutants is the big disappointment for me. I'd liked to have them as additions to Skeletor's goons.

At this point I'd be happy to get more that two bad guys... I wonder if Paramount had something to do with the lack of "Mutants". Fox was able to bowguard the word for use in movies.

UPS says im getting something from EE on Tuesday, but EE hasn't bothered to tell me if it's the case of wave 2 or the extra He-Man I ordered.

i just opened Battle CAT Man, tried to put on the extra claws… and one of them broke off one peg right away 🤬

What the heck! The way it’s designed, there’s no way to attach the claw now.

Barely anything ever broke in Origins for me so far! I didn’t even get to play around with him. And how off will it look with just one claw 🫤

I’ve also noticed the red is quite washed out, since they tried again what failed with the red Horde Trooper Prime– mixing red with metallic plastic. Pale and washed out. I don’t mind it here as much, the shiny metallic does fit here.

But I think Battle Cat always looks more iconic with bright red armor– and they have it that way in all the listings / catalogues!

Must have changed it last minute again.

@smitty-81 I meant it’s metallic shiny yes, but it isn’t as vibrant “red” as the earlier promo pics. Similar to what happened with the red Horde Prime Trooper or whatever he’s called.

In this instance, I don’t mind as much, the metallic suits him, though I probably would have preferred a more vibrant red. You can’t have both, as we’ve seen.

I see your point now. I think they went with a color that's close to Origins Battle Cat. 

Got my “Processing Soon” notice from BBTS about my TCats He-Man preorder. Yay!

These are some of the best Mattel figures to date, IMHO.

I really hope this line gets a few more waves... we NEED some evil mutants and evil warriors dagnabit!!!

On another note, I removed the plug from my Lion-O's belt today. The entire thing is solid blue, so you can barely tell it was there at all. I just used an exacto blade and it looks 100X better without that gangly plug jutting out of his side...

So, we have had these figures for a few weeks now... can we take a moment and reflect on how awesome these figures are?

The playablility, sculpt, paint, accessories, packaging, comic, ....everything about this line is amazing. Especially the amount of bang-for-your-buck you get with every one of these figures.

Seriously, the sheer amount of accessories that come with them is astounding... the option of Eternia style, Thundera style, or a combination of both is just so much fun. Plus, the new He-Man figure looks incredible - and actually has a great head sculpt!!

On top of it all, every single part is interchangeable with every other figure... you can legit give Lion-O He-Man's armor, loincloth, boots, bracers, and weapons! (And vice versa!!)

I pray that Mattel has more of these in the works!
