By the Power of Grayskull!
Thanks to a very special community member, we now have the first image ever of actor Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man riding on his noble Battle Cat!

In the form of a cardboard standee, this is currently set up for a toy association preview in Los Angeles for industry professionals (along with the Havoc Staff and Power Sword displays we saw at San Diego Comic-Con!)

While we can’t ascertain precisely if this Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man on Battle Cat standee is rendered from an actual shot in the movie or just highly detailed concept art, either way, we are very excited about it. (They looks amazing!)

We can definitely see Inspirations from a lot of Masters of the Universe incarnations, especially the 2002 Animated Series “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” (200X)… and we couldn’t be more excited!
The “Masters of the Universe” Movie is currently in Post-Production with the film scheduled to be released in cinemas worldwide on June 5th, 2026.
We’ll see you next time!

Firstly, holy cow it’s actually Battle Cat in a MOTU movie?! And he looks AWESOME!
Yeah definitely looks like a good mix of the vintage and 200X design. Also Nicholas as He-Man looks great there! The chest armor looks to have the big red cross very similar to 200X too!
All in all this is a awesome first look at He-Man and Battle Cat. I wish it was a nice close up HD photo but beggers can’t be choosers I suppose!
The more I learn about it, the more reassured I am about how deeply they’ve invested in this movie. If the render is actually linked to the movie itself, as AJ seemed to point out, then I’m definitely sold.
Nicholas on that Battle Cat looks fantastic! DO YOU BELIEVE ME NOW??????? THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO BE AMAZING.
Just a extra note, this was at Mattel’s HQ and showroom for LA Toy Preview week. Various retailers and toy industry folks from around the world descend on El Segundo in Los Angeles which is the home of Mattel and other toy manufacturers. The Toy Association also secured a building there where other toy companies set up shop for the last 2 weeks to show off what they’ve got going on for the rest of 2025 and beyond.
Obviously Mattels big thing for next year is MOTU and the movie so the movie toys were there, and evidently looked fantastic, and the MOTU section also had clips from the film too!
My family has a group chat and we all agree. We love it! I do see some 200x in Battle Cat but the helmet fangs aren’t there which I’m happy about. I am not a fan of those.
Mattel and Amazon MGM just need to release the image in HQ for the public because with this doing the rounds in as short a time since it’s been posted, all I’ve seen is overly positive reactions…or the 1 or 2 that think it’s AI created when its not. lol
Holy cow! I need to see more!
Not bad but Nick could be bigger.
❤️🤯🙏
Considering what can happen over the course of development for a big budget movie with usually too many cooks in the kitchen, it is wonderful to see Battle Cat will be in the movie!
And I love what I see of Nick’s armor.
Both look slimmer than what we’re used of in all these hugely pumped up figures and comics, but I respect that they’re going with a real live action look. I’m excited.
I’m surprised Mattel haven’t sent the C&D police yet. lol
Or they have and he’s talking his way out of it. 🤣
AJ was forced to remove a Masters of the Universe Revolution story about Keldor once. It was up for like 5 minutes and when it disappeared and I was asking where did it go y’all was acting like I was crazy.😆😆
Well hopefully Mattel are chill with it. lol
We’re less than 3 weeks from the BLE keynote presentation so I feel like we’re gonna be seeing and hearing more very soon anyway.
Or, they could be letting the image stand as good will to the fans.
Remember 75% of fans are not happy that any of the movie takes place on earth, let alone them reworking the origins to make it work.
So, this could be left alone as a “hey guys, not what you think it is, just work with us".
I like your premise.
Well I don’t hate it. Dolph will always be my movie He-Man but this He-Man will be more accurate. There’s no doubt about that. Now if they only would lose the Earth shit.
Now show us Skeletor and Panthor.
This reminds me of the time when the public got the first full look at new animated movie Mario and it was on a leaked McDonalds Happy Meal promo of all things

That also occurred with the latest Captain America movie.
Just wanna say how cool it was to see this news trending on Twitter when you searched anything MOTU related! A lot of positive reactions too not only on Twitter but across social media.
HE HAS THE IRON CROSS!! 🔥
I don’t think it’s an Iron Cross because of the controversy.
Without a more clear shot it’s hard to say for sure but it does seem to look like a red cross on a silver/grey diamond for the chest piece, so I see what they’re getting at!
I’m also wondering if the Grayskull facade there could of had the movie figures in it on display like it was set up at SDCC so were THIS close. lol
Threre are people who see the Iron cross as a dog whistle so it will definitely be controversial.
@northerner Is the woke crowd gonna come for He-Man now of all people? Let them whistle.
need better pics to judge
I love that Battle Cat is confirmed. His body looks like a horse in that picture but I think it’s because of the angle. What I want to know now is does Battle Cat speak.
@northerner still waiting for confirmation of John Mulaney voiced Orko (my fancast)
if he ain’t included and saved for a sequel because they wanna base a good chunk of this film off a good amount of early pre-Filmation lore that’ll suck hard. No hint at him yet. He would definitely be CG and most of this movie was probably shot in green screen soundstages where the public nor film insiders can’t view but still.
Pre-Filmation Lore would mean no Cringer. That would suck. I don’t want to imagine that.
